The firm's principal, Kenna M. Cook, received a Bachelor of Arts degree with an emphasis in Interior Design from San Diego State University in 1995. Her initial professional experience was as a designer for a large Model Home design firm in San Diego. In 1997 she began her own firm, McKenzie Designs and was lead designer on a large private school in Northern California, Sonoma Country Day School, as well as working on private custom homes in Indian Wells. In 2001 she moved to the Coachella Valley to be closer to the clients that kept coming her way.
